Obstetrics - Coming Soon

Compassionate Birthing Center: Webster, Texas, Location Opening Soon

Expectant moms in the Houston Bay Area will have a new birthing center option coming soon. At Bay Area Regional Medical Center, we're putting the finishing touches on our new obstetrics program. Here's just a taste of what we'll have to offer when our center opens its doors.

Family-Centered Childbirth

The birth of a child is one of the most significant and exciting events in life, and our highly skilled team supports family-centered care. Our goal is to provide the best care for new moms and babies with a family-centered approach.

Your birthing team can be as large or as small as you'd like. Include your partner, your mother, your sister, your closest friend or your grandmother. You can even bring your midwife or doula. You define who is part of you and your baby's cheerleading squad.

Our private delivery rooms provide you and your family with spa-like comfort and compassionate care. Everything you need will be at your fingertips.

Education and Support: Childbirth Classes and More

Our childbirth classes will help you and your birthing team understand the labor and delivery process.

After your baby's birth, you can tap into even more education and support. Courses on breastfeeding, baby sleeping positions and more are all available at our facility.

Having a Baby — Your Way

This is your childbirth experience, and we encourage birth plans. You determine the mood and ambiance in the room, skin-to-skin immediately after birth, and comfort measures during labor. We respect your beliefs and will help you achieve the experience you desire.  During early labor you can stay inside your birthing suite or use our wireless fetal monitors to walk, try traditional birthing positions, or experiment with your posture with the help of our maternity nurses.

Your pain management options range from unmedicated birth to epidural.

Expert obstetrics care

Our maternity nurses are current on birthing positions, massage techniques and birthing ball poses. These nurses are trained in many of the same techniques that doulas use.

Our team also has the training and experience to deliver lifesaving help and assistance to you or your baby if needed. We will also have a neonatal intensive care unit for babies born prematurely or with medical concerns.
