Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Coming Summer 2017)
As part of our commitment to providing exceptional care while making a difference in people's lives, Bay Area Regional Medical Center has put together a team of neonatal intensive care (NICU) professionals to serve tiny newborns and the families that love them. Our team will deliver care to fragile babies in a family-centered environment with expertise and compassion.
Compassionate Care for NICU Babies
We want families of premature or sick newborns to have access to the best care possible, right here in Bay Area Houston, Texas. Our team will include neonatologists, neonatal nurses, respiratory therapists, lactation consultants and social workers. And our NICU will house some of the latest technology, so premature or sick newborns will have everything they need in order to grow and heal.
Your baby's care will be delivered with technical, lifesaving expertise and a great deal of nurturing.
Support for New Families
Even when babies are completely surrounded by the best neonatal care, the NICU experience can be stressful. Our team will provide you with the emotional support and education you'll need in order to make good health care decisions for your baby and feel good about your baby's health.
Bay Area Regional's private NICU suites will offer you the privacy with your little one to breastfeed, pump and have skin-to-skin contact with your newborn.
Once your baby is ready to leave the NICU, our staff will work alongside you so you are comfortable and knowledgeable about caring for your baby at home. You won't be alone in helping your baby to grow up healthy. We'll be right there with you.
