With a constant pursuit of excellence, Bay Area Regional has achieved the highest level Chest Pain Center Accreditation, Comprehensive Center Accreditation for Bariatric Surgery by MBSAQIP, the first hospital in Texas achieve Center of Excellence for Hidden Scar Breast Surgery, and is in active pursuit of Level III Trauma Designation.

Bay Area Regional was the first hospital in the Houston Bay Area to implement advanced technology, such as the WATCHMAN device for non-valvular atrial fibrillation and a cardiac ablation procedure for heart arrhythmia using the high-resolution 3D mapping called Rhythmia Mapping System.

Since opening in July 2014, Bay Area Regional has received accreditation from the Joint Commission and offers services such as heart and vascular, general surgery, orthopedics, emergency services, surgical weight-loss, outpatient imaging, including 3D Mammography and much more. Bay Area Regional has approximately 500 physicians on the medical staff and over 500 employees dedicated to providing exceptional care and making a difference in people’s lives.

The hospital has expanded three floors of private patient rooms, the emergency department, operating rooms and cardiac cath labs. Bay Area Regional opened a new Women’s Center with a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in September 2017.
